Don't worry, I'll take care of that next month. Just need to get everything lined up first because I don't want to be without a wheel for 4 weeks.

2012 C63 Coupe P31 Acura CL type S, Harley Road King, Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland
Not to hijack this thread, but living in the Seattle area, (eastside) I am looking for a good AMG shop to upgrade my C63 Coupe. You have done some great upgrades to you R63, are there some Seattle area garages you have come to trust for this type of work? I am looking at Kleeman or MHP tune and headers, X pipes etc, or perhaps even a supercharger. But with the M156 engine, I fell it should stay normally aspirated, so most likely just tune and headers.
Thank you for any referrals and keep up the good work on the R63!

Hey,
No worries, I wish there were more gearheads in our area. For my previous cars I got Renntech stuff done from Phil Smart MB (now MB of Seattle). I know they also deal with Lorinser and possibly Kleemann.
For the X Pipe the place to go is Dan Fast Exhaust in Bellevue. That's where everyone gets their exhaust work done in the area. My friend did an x pipe and rear exhaust swap out from them: https://mbworld.org/forums/new-s-cla...ml#post5259768 as did other friends who had work done on more exotic cars.
Otherwise other routes you may wish to go are Benchmark Motoring in Bellevue and Cnc Autosport in Bellevue as well which are full fledged car customization shops that do audio, body kits, and performance upgrades.
I'll be in at MB Seattle later today (like I have been for the past week!) and I'll ask about some of the tuning firms for you.

Can you comment on CNC for interior work? I got quoted a ludicrous price from Benchmark to do an alcantara headliner and wonder what CNC's quality is like once I get a quote.
I'm only familiar with Car Nutz at the old Park Place location. I have no experience with CNC once they moved to the new place. Quality still the same?
And yes, Benchmark is $$$ and they are not timely at all or really on top of things which makes me hesitant to go back.

Never had anything done by them. I've seen a couple cars they did and they looked top notch to me, but I dont know if they did the interiors on those cars or not. Kleeman recommended them to me so I called them a few times to talk about some installs I want them to do. The sales guy wasn't much help (with performance mod install questions) but I got to talk to the tech one time and he was very knowledgeable about our platforms. I cant remember any names..... except Andy I think and he was the sales guy.
I've actually had some work done at Dan Fast and they are excellent.
And Benchmark...... well everyone (around here) knows about Benchmark and I can't even afford to think about going there LOL

Took a roadtrip down to SF and had a very nice drive. Got the OEM roof bars with a Packasport and we were able to fit luggage for all six passengers up there.
Mileage stats going down- actually saw 18mpg at one fill up!
Ocean Beach in SF:
Visited DCTMS who did my CF work.

Golden Gate Bridge:
Winchester Mystery House:

Forgot to mention, saw a black R63 on 7/6 down in SF going on the Golden Gate bridge towards Marin as I was driving back into SF. Didn't get a picture, but is that anyone's here? I've now seen 4 different ones in the last month. (or could just be a falsely badged regular R, only saw the fender badge as I was driving by)

Great photos from what looks like a great trip!
I can really see the blue hue in the majestic black in some photos – looks great. It's also nice to see someone so passionate about their car as you are.
Kind regards

@55wagon Wow what a small world! I can't believe I saw another one on that trip! That's nice that your wife decided to keep it, it's really unique.
Dim sum at Flower Lounge in Milbrae for the win.

Thanks everyone.
The USA spec R63 all had burlwood trim standard and no available aluminum and mixed black plastic trim. Whereas the rest of the world appeared to get the Alu mixed plastic as standard with wood being optional. Nevertheless I'm happy with the carbon. I feel like a car like this should have more sporty trim.
Sorry don't think I'll sell this one. Especially not after I'm finished with the mods. Speaking of which I've got quite a few big boxes of goodies coming from all parts of the world for this car. So stay tuned the next few months while I chip away at the list (and a few goodies not on the list).
