New owner 04 S430 4matic with 25k miles
I am officially own this Silver 04 S430 4matic with 25k miles after 3 weeks long chasing the seller. Please don't ask me the price... It's very -/+ to value of KBB & NADA excellent.
Even it's very clean, the car needs a good detailed polishing job (almost 12 years young)... Pics is coming.
NO issues so far. Driving just liked a brand new car minus new car smell. s
More coming...

Update:
So far... Murphy's law... The day after, a little red light AC off switch is lit... back to the dealer. Cross my finger, code: refrigerant pressure sensor. What's that meant??? dealer will let me know if that's the case tomorrow.
auto-shut driver door is not pulling - all other doors and trunk are working.
Any suggestions, TIA

"Refrigerant Pressure Sensor" probably means that there is a refrigerant leak in the AC system. Fixing it might be as simple as adding a few ounces of R-134a, costing less than $10 - if you can do it yourself. If you have to pay a dealer to do everything, it can get expensive very quickly.
The most likely problem with the driver's door is a leaking pneumatic actuator. When one of the actuators starts leaking, the computer will shut it off. Resetting the computer by pulling the yellow 20-Amp fuse behind the light in the rear seat (located behind the right rear passenger's heels) will let it work long enough to sell the car. Unfortunately, if you continue to reset the system, you will damage the PSE pump in the trunk...
There are numerous threads on the PSE (Pneumatic Service Equipment) system in the encyclopedia found in the blue threads at the top of the first page of the Forum - where it says "...start here...". You can sometimes repair the actuator, and can buy a replacement for not too much money. If you choose/have to replace the entire door actuator, it gets more expensive. If the dealer does it, it will be expensive.

Thanks Wallyp, I will check Wiki on the PSE.
update: ACoff red light was reset by the dealer after the tech checked & found no faulty sensors. AC is back on. The best thing is NO charge. Hopefully, that's all the drama.

Nice! My last 220 was a Pewter/Stone 04 S430 that had 30k on the clock. Terrific car. Had to let it go once the aftermarket warranty was up, but I still miss it (and I have a very nice 2010 S550 now). Reliability wise the 221 has been a relative superstar compared to the 220's I've owned, but I prefer the interior design, audio system and ride of the 220. Enjoy it.

Congrats on the car. I just recently landed one also in the brilliant silver color like yours. Don't get discouraged by the little gremlins that pop up, this forum is a great resource and the people on here will have your back. 25k miles for an '04.... just wow! Enjoy it!

Thanks all the best wishes and helps. Your knowledge and expertise of the 220 are priceless.
I am just a very limited skill of auto mechanics, but willing to learn from all you guys. Hopefully, with this low miles I have sometimes to learn yet.
I've loved the 220 since MB started to go away the boxy look. I've been looking for S55 for a while... but seems like the more stuffs the more problems. This is very basic S430 4matic is good enough for now.
Any suggestion on the air pump relay, fluid flushing, since the previous owner had all that done in 2011, but he drove less than 5k till sold to me.
TIA

Yes it's fine to drive without pse
You can reset the system by removing and replacing the 20amp fuse at the panel located at the bottom of the passenger rear seat . If it disables itself again it is doing so to protect the system
If your working headlight levels up and down when you turn it on you have hid.

Thanks,
I can do without PSE through this winter... Will fix it next summer (2016). At the mean time, more research on DIY troubleshoot the actuators and leaks.
HID Retrofit... will do more research too.
Any opinion on flushing fluids???
TIA

Updates:
It's now has 40K mi.
Most the fluids flushed and renewed; xmission, brake, coolant... Schedule B just done.
PSE is still NOT done yet.
Halogen headlight is still on (replaced both L&R bulbs) for now.
Water Pump and belt replaced 6 mos ago.
4-wheel alignment 2 mos ago.
The car is driving like a dream... So smooth and so joyful. That's why the mileage is racking up so fast.
HELP:
Within a week, I have heard some squeaky noise coming from the driver-side between the firewall and the front tire... just right after started. 4 or 5 times, each time, it lasted within a few seconds to about 20 seconds. Is it something related to Airmatic compressor??? NO CODE or warning light at all.
Any suggestion??? TIA

Sounds like something loose in an airway or exhaust rattling and whistling. So...PCV valve?(just a guess.) If that goes out in A8's, it honks like a goose. It's hilarious.

Took it to Dealer... NOT be able to duplicate the noise anymore. Tech insisted that may have something related to Cat Converter. But nothing to effect driveability yet. He checked everything... All looked GOOD for another road trip.
Will update if anything new.
