I got the complete set off a donar car, also from other threads I read you can reuse your existing door panel but for some reason mine is off by a little bit and pokes out. Can anyone confirm the part number for door panels with and with out the sunshade to verify that they are the same.

My 2014 E350 is in our local MB dealer right now because of the exact same issue - crackling sound on the freeway, then smoke coming out. Scary! Took the car to our local MB, was diagnosed, and was given an estimate of $2900 to repair it. I thought, it was not our fault that happened, and nowhere in my 50+ years of owning cars have I ever experienced speakers or side doors smoking or burning! Why should we pay for this? So I called MB corporate after reading this forum (thank you!), and they took down my information. They told me to call back with the exact estimate for repairs as well as the Repair Order #. Keeping my fingers crossed that MBUSA will shoulder the repair cost.
