So is this the 300K S430 in your signature? Love to here some of the repair history on that one if any.

I have no personal experience to share but, attached are the WIS instructions.

Good luck,

Bob

Heres a good one for you Bob:
http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=279401

Also, I went on the WIS (Workshop Information System) site for MB and back in '09 it was $1 for a subscription. It seems that has changed to $95.... Does anyone have access to wis that can tell me the torque specs for the water pump bolts?

So far Bob's link shows a few nM specs for a couple bolts. If this will suffice ill just go ahead and cross my fingers lol

Yes, I have done some stupid stuff too. Today I try to research every repair fully until I am sure that I've eliminated the guess work. I still stumble though.

The WIS instructions I posted have all the torque figures you need. You have to determine which type of screw you are dealing with ie, threaded or self tapping. Each has separate specs for torque. One caution, Do Not over tighten any bolt in Aluminum. That is a sure recipe for disaster. Double & triple check your torque wrench settings before final tightening. NM is not lb/ft. Repairing a stripped thread in Aluminum is possible but working in the confined space of the front of your engine will make that very difficult.

Good luck,

Bob
