My first car purchase: '13 C63
Happy to be here. Right off the bat I'm hoping to get some wheels for this thing and will admit I've got NO idea what I'm doing when it comes to wheels and fitment.
I was looking at something along these lines:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/3021981...&ul_noapp=true
Although what I really want are the 507 wheels because holy f*ck are those amazing.
The car in question:
As you can see it's very much stock (expected with 18k miles on it) but would appreciate some input on subtle styling cues like black badging of model designation.

I saw that car online when I was looking a couple months ago and it looked super clean from the photos the dealer posted. I am from MA too so I recognized the dealer name in the background haha. Anyways, congrats and great looking car!
My car is stock so can't give you any advice there but tons of info in the after market wheel thread on various offsets and wheel widths etc. One common consensus is that most people go wider on the back tires to 265 instead of the stock 255 and typically will fit on the stock wheels without any problem. There is a classified section too and it seems like wheels for the C63 pop up there pretty often. Might be a good place to check as well. There was a really nice set of HRE's on there that would fit our cars on there a couple weeks ago.

If I had a 507 I would trade you for those wheels - those are the best wheels on the car from the factory in my book!

Tons of wheel options out there for your C63. Some more affordable than others. Some more durable than others. Some downright unsafe (ebay replicas) . If you want the best and nothing else will do then HRE is the way to go. Tons of options from their lineup that can be custom made for your new Benz. If you're interested in learning more about wheels and the industry shoot me over a PM, I'd love to educate all those that are interested

Yep clean history and paintwork. What sold me is I've still got about 4 months of factory warranty on it. Anything major should come up by then as I'm putting no less than 1500 miles on her every month with my commute

Yeah I was meaning to ask, how do you think I did price wise? I'm under the impression I did pretty well but it's a surprisingly illiquid market. I had a comparable one here in Chicago with 26k on it asking 44k. I actually flew out to visit my buddy in Boston for the weekend and am shipping this back for $650.

I think you did pretty well. I paid $41K for my 2013 with 40K miles on it with 1 previous owner. Mine was a P31 with LSD though and pretty much all the options ticked. I was willing to pay a little more for the P31 and LSD. I was looking for only 2012+ cars and I saw 2 or 3 in the New England area all listed between $42K - $45K mostly with 20/30kish miles.

Hehehe doubtful...I'm in sunny So Cal...too cold up there in the Windy City. Although I did buy my previous Civic SI up there at Westfield Acura and drove it back. Unfortunately, years later when doing suspension and undercarriage work the rust from the roads up there was not my friend!
