Please Help. I can not locate the cps on my 1994 SL320. It is not over/under/near starter.

Please help! My 1994 sl320 . I have replaced wire harness, fuel actuator, spark plugs, fuel filter, voltage regulator, MAF, o2 sensors, cam sensor, crankshaft sensor and checked vacuum lines as best I could. All to no avail. The car starts fine but idles between 1200 and 1500 (oscillating) when I give it gas it dies.

I am dealing with the same issue on a 95 SL500, I am leaning toward the Cats being clogged. I am going to check it this weekend and will get back to you.
I just posted SL500 stalling issues.

I do not think it is your cats. I just installed a re-wired and tested Throttle body. The car runs great. The first place I sent it did not bench test it after rewire. BBA-Reman fixed a broken wire in unit and returned it in three days.

It sounds like you should pay to have your car checked with a MB Star Diagnostic Scanner (SDS) for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) before you go any farther. I don't believe your problem is with your CPS. Your car would exhibit a different problem than what you have detailed. It would stop running when hot and restart when it has cooled down. One way to test a CPS is to pour cool water over the CPS and see if the car restarts.
