WIDE BODY FOR SL63 AMG
What is the highest quality, strongest, best fitting wide body kit to get a 2009-2011 SL-63 AMG into SL65-Black Series trim? I see that Misha has a kit for around $8500, and Prior Design has one for about $20K. I don't want to spend twice as much just because Prior is German and is a bit more sophisticated appearing...Is the the Prior Design upgrade worth the price?
Is there a better kit or an equal kit out there in terms of quality and fitment?
Does anyone know the weight savings gained from these kits?
Does anyone make a carbon fiber kit that looks the same?
And --- Does anyone have any actual experience re-selling an SL63 with a perfectly done wide body and Weistec Stage 3 power train upgrade? Do other people want these "Better than Black" supercars?

I have a Misha kit on my SL but the SPDV6 looks much better and can be had at half the cost. The Misha hood on mine is of very poor quality and has taken two trips to the body shop and is still not perfect. Not to mention, the kit makes the car look like a batmobile. It looks good but the SPDV6 kit looks the most like an actual black series.

I have the Suhorovsky Design SR66.1 it's a nice fitting kit, rear 1/4 I panel bonded on. The Materials they use can defiantly take a hit since i've bottomed out on the rear 1/4's and front fenders since i'm running such a big wheels and tire setup with it being lowered. I dont think youll be saving much weight at all since the factory panels you would be taking off are aluminum. I know Suhorovsky has made a Lamborghini out of Kevlar and wanna say on request they will do it with any kit. I could ask about carbon fiber which would be really cool, they also make 3 other kits that i know of.

Thanks for the guidance. I pretty much ruled out Misha early on. I do like the Suhorovsky but it is not particularly true to the "Black Series", even though it does look better.
I do plan to sell the car a year so after it's been shown a few times...and I am trying to learn what to expect.
Does anyone know how these cars are priced...assuming Weistec charger, etc. and show quality throughout?
AND -- YES !!! That is a beautiful car. I want it.

Hey guys,
I am curious, when going with the wide body kits and knowing that the specs for the black series is Front: 265/35R19 and the Rear: 325/30R20 what are the sizes that is being used? and at what point does it change the comfort in you ride? I have the 09 SL63 AMG with the performance package and although I want the SPDV6 kit, I don't want to compromise or jeopardize the comfort of my ride that I currently have. Can someone give me a little insight?

I have 18 x 13 rear wheels with 335/30/18's. 20's are for looks and do nothing for performance. I would not go above a 19" for performance reasons. It's a good balance between looks and keeping the rotational mass toward the center of the wheel which will result in more power to the ground than the 20" wheels.
