Speedriven R230 V12 Downpipe Sale - 10% off + Free Shipping (US)
Made from high-quality stainless steel and designed to be direct replacements for the factory components, these new, lightweight, high-flow performance downpipes from Speedriven deliver serious performance gains without compromising the sound quality of your V12 Mercedes.
BUY IT ONCE
Speedriven developed these downpipes to provide a significantly more exhaust flow than the factory units. This improved flow delivers a noticeable increase in horsepower, torque, and throttle response across the RPM range- but there’s more to these downpipes than a simple, “better than stock” upgrade. Speedriven developed these downpipes to provide sufficient airflow for even our 800+ HP billet-wheel turbo packages.
In other words, you can buy the Speedriven high-flow performance downpipes for your stock Mercedes V12, and enjoy them for the life of the car- whether that means leaving it stock, or building up into a record-running track weapon. $1250 USD for track/test pipes, $1800 w/ OBD compliant 200-cell cats.

Great Customer Service
I stopped in today to meet Jo and the Speedriven folks and pick up my down-pipes. Being a part of this community for a few years and witnessing first hand some of the bad press Speedriven has received - I thought it was necessary to say a few words:
Great guys to deal with. I showed up unexpected and was treated as as a scheduled customer. They answered all my questions, even those unrelated to down-pipes.
In summary, if their products or service is of your interest, don't hesitate to give them a chance.

Since these seem so great, there must be a video of an SL65 application, but I can't seem to find any. Plus, with all the stinkin smog requirements in CA, are these CA compliant to pass smog at the pipe and visual inspection?

I can't imagine they'd pass visual. The suppliers does have a CARB number on the cats (which is why there's such a price difference from the catless to the cats), so it should be fully compliant in terms of emissions/sniffers.

Would love to hear the difference between the catless and catted downpipes. In Pennsylvania, the sniffer test only applies to 1998 and older vehicles. For newer cars, they simply plug a scan tool into the OBD port to see if there are any malfunctions/errors with the emissions system.
Is it possible to turn off the rear o2 sensor for catless downpipes but still show it as being on and functional for the sake of emissions/inspection testing?

Just ordered a set for my sl65 amg, can't wait to throw them on and see how much power the factory cats/downpipes sufficate.
Also bought a set of billet BOVs, so can't wait and will post videos of dyno charts/videos when installed in a few weeks probably.

Did you already do a stock dyno? If so, what numbers did you see?

Yes, I have a digital dyno dynamics with latest software at my shop.
It put down 475whp and 565wtq.
The car possibly maybe had a tune on it from the previous owner, I'll know for sure when I read out the ECU for tuning. But 475whp/565wtq seems about right. Only issue I had was both the car's map sensor and the dyno map sensor were only seeing about 15psi of boost. I may still have a super tiny boost leak, I could hear it when I did a pressure test.
