(what is better?(definetly dont want to throw any lights!!) i am ready to do it soon i,so i also need a place to purchase it if any one knows. At some point i want to throw in that ams stage 2 kit tooo!!! but will have to wait a while ,because i need front rotors and want to get sport bilstein struts, right now i am riding on H&R sport springs with stock shocks and can't stand how the car feels!!!

Do the high flow 2nd cats at same time you do X-pipe.
High flow 2nd cats can be purchased directly from Performance-curve for only $59.99 now ...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-5-M...Q5fAccessories
Also, there high flow stainless steel X-pipes are now an astonishing $29.99 !!!

If you buy a couple of mandrel bends from them as well you can combine all the shipping and save even more money. These prices have come down so much from back in the day when I first performance this modification years ago. You can get all the parts you need now for under $180 where as it used to cost $250-300 back then.
Once you do the high flow 2nd cats & X-pipe, your car will be much better prepared to accept the AMS Stage 2 kit and will perform much better.
Hope that helps.

The x pipe yes, but not with the high flow cats. they won't even ship it to CA. I'm still trying to get my hands on a pair.
We should meet up and check out each others cars one of these days after you get your H&Rs dialed in.

Smog test and noise aside, would straight pipes be a better option (performance wise) than high flow cats?
Same question for the x pipe's really.
Thanks!

Hi all and thank you for the help. I have done a search on X Pipe but so many hits- I guess if your signature has X Pipe in as a mod it comes up even when not on topic.
So my question is: I have the correct 2.5 inch diameter X Pipe in a box, can this be installed instead of the resonator and with no other hardware? I do not have the mandrel pipes I have seen noted in posts, can a performance muffler shop just cut out the resonator and weld this in place all by itself, that's it?
Many thanks.

Hi, I am new to this forum but have read the omeyhomey official x-pipe site. There are a few nice pictures of them done up by the guys in that forum. I am curious, would it have a better flow if you mate the 2.5" x-pipe with the 2.5" 45 degree mandrel pipes with the OEM 2.36" pipes?

Keep it legal and get the cats, you won't regret it.

Hi, does anybody knows of a muffler shop in CT, besides midas and monroe who would know what an x-pipe is when I give them all the hardware for them to weld together? Or you think the neighbourhood midas would do the job? Thanks

I don't live in all that big of a town and just some local tire place that also does regular maintenance has a pretty good exhaust guy that'll do just about anything I ask him to. Shouldn't be too hard to find a place like that. I wouldn't bring it to a national exhaust chain.
