So, I cleared all the cars fault codes earlier today. It's still performing well, but I do suspect it's not perfect as yet because we're not running the correct spec spark plugs. I'll get that rectified ASAP however (thanks Zayed!).
As of today the car is also booked in for bodywork, paint, detailing, and wheel refurb. Plans to get full custom plumbing and intakes etc designed and installed will come to light very soon. After being without the car for this long I plan to get through the other upgrades on my list as fast as possible.
In other news, I've got a new (rebuilt OEM) steering rack being fitted tomorrow. The current one is leaking beyond repair after o-ring changes during the last major service.
More updates, photos, and videos to follow.

It's felt like a never ending story, but I must admit that the help from within the forum has been great motivation to see it through.
I truly appreciate the support my friend!

Totally forgot about this!
Just looking through my phone and found some photos I took the other day.
Anyway, the reason I mention it is because I went to see a guy for some advice on what he thought could be wrong with my E55, that same guy has now become a friend, and happens to be the manager at Brabus here in Dubai. While I was there he was kind enough to let me take a few pictures:
Let's see who knows their Merc's enough to name exactly what's what in them.
Oh and for the record, Brabus guys advice was spot on.

We're going to work together on some custom heat shielding for the engine bay I think.
Once I have the new plugs in the car, expect some new videos eFifty5AMG. It's almost time to show off the results of what's been done so far, thank goodness!

The idiots I ordered my steering rack from (after assuring me its the right one based on their part number and VIN check) have sent the wrong part. It's missing the SPS valve and the fitment area of one, preventing me from even swapping the valve from my old rack over to the new one.
If any of you are replacing your rack, make sure you confirm whether the SPS valve is included, or at least has the fitment area for one if required.
Light at the end of the tunnel is that after my initial search for a reliable garage to rebuild my original rack was unsuccessful, it turns out the garage I found to fit the new one does rebuilds. I guess it was fate!? It's a race build garage too, quite a famous one over here, mainly for autocross and drifting.
They even said they will supply and fit the NGK plugs I've been looking for.
I guess this cloud does have a silver lining.

A video I shot recently to show the misfire behaviour of my E55, which regular readers of this thread will know has now been rectified:

Believe it or not, I actually watched the whole video 2x. Had to get myself educated on some of the issues you're talking about and it was a fun learning experience for me.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Thanks Zayed!
I'll have videos of the more positive news and "fun" driving soon.
I'll ask my servicing garage if the CPS was changed recently, I do have all the servicing papers but its faster for them to check the computer.

A quick update here.
The car has finally gone into the bodyshop this week. Some panels have already been removed to go in for paint and I've ordered certain seals and plastics to be replaced due to the originals being perished or damaged. I'll try to get into the paint shop to take some photos or video of the work being done over the coming days.
I'm still waiting on delivery of the NGK spark plugs I ordered to replace the current Bosch ones we ran to get rid of the misfire. The car doesn't seem to like these current Bosch ones at all. It's not the first time it's been mentioned on this forum, but take note, four electrode spark plugs and M113's don't get on.
The steering rack rebuild has shown signs of either bad workmanship or parts. When driving the car into the bodyshop it blew a valve. The garage who performed the rebuild has taken responsibility at least and said they will get the job finished properly by ordering and fitting new valves and lock clips. However, the bodyshop can't move the car around until the rack is sorted out, so it's delaying things.
Also, I got in contact with a company in the UK called OBP Motorsport today. I spoke with their founder about some custom fabrication work on parts for the cooling/water system side of the engine. I will see what they have to offer before deciding whether to follow through with getting kit from them. I'll update on this when I know more.
Lastly, I've been speaking to a gentleman named Joe Kincaid this week. He is the owner of a company called Kincaid Performance Inc. or "KPI". He and his company are the designers and manufacturers of a cooling system for turbo and supercharged vehicles called the "Killer Chiller". After speaking to Joe about my project, he agreed to sponsor it in a fashion, by providing me with one of his chiller kits at a discounted rate. I completed the order process today, so expect the kit to arrive quite soon. Joe has been great in his communication, and when I asked him about possible discounts for customers I refer, he accepted! So do let me know if any of you keeping up with this thread are interested in getting one of the KPI chiller kits for your turbo or supercharged vehicle. I'll gladly refer you and have you qualify for your discount!

A quick update.
The opportunity to upgrade from the stock brakes on my E55 has arisen.
All being well, I'll have more updates about this later in the week.

The NGK plugs have finally arrived!
I'll have them fitted and once the car is back from the bodyshop I'll run data-logging to check the cars response.
More updates to come.

A short project update I pieced together after my time at the garage today:
I will get around to editing the Kleemann kit install video some time this week and post that as well.
Stay tuned!

Wheels are back from paint. Looking clean again!
Just waiting for the panels to be done and the new plastics/seals to come from Mercedes in Germany to have the car looking prestige again.
