It should be a totally different animal...

1. Repaired cylinders and all new valves (Thanks PTE)
2. Tune and ported heads by PTE.
3. VRP cams (from stock)
4. VRP I/C upgrade (from stock I/C)
5. VR700 ECU tune (from Kleeman K2 tune)
6. VRP long tube headers (from Kleeman shorty headers)
7. Full VRP exhaust (from stock)
8. Vorsteiner rear CF diffuser (from cheap ebay CF rear diffuser)
9. HID fog lights (from stock)

It's been 4 months...

Andrew @ C2Design who is putting the Beast back together says he measured a 62 inch (?!?) difference between the stock exhaust and the new VRP exhaust. I have no idea what he meant, but he just said that my neighbors are going to hate me.

Between the new cams, the resonator delete, cutouts, VRP headers, and minuscule cats that came with the VRP exhaust, I wouldn't doubt it...

Actually...final diagnosis isn't clear but after the engine tear down by PTE, we still go back to my fuel leak I had back in December 2007. It is the same fuel leak that MB put a recall on...I was running around with a major fuel leak for over 300 miles and we think that my engine ran really lean in that time period.

PTE thinks that this may be more serious on modded cars rather than stock but that is just conjecture at this point...

Looks good Jon, I was eyeballing it today when I picked mine up. I love/hate C2; everytime I go in there I think of ways to spend money. My buddy that followed me down fell in love with that blacked out Porsche Cayenne that Chris is working on.

That was your black E55 in the parking lot? When I first drove up...I thought damn they were fast (thinking it was mine), but I got a closer look and I just got teased...

What are your plans? Between Victor and Chris, my 2007 expense report to my accountant looks like I sold my soul to VRP and C2...Luckily my wife isn't my accountant !

Yeah, that one was mine. My K40 remote decided it hated me & I also had the lights smoked while it was there.

I'm seriously thinking about going the K2 route, but want to get my car in for the dealer recalls before I actually mod it. I'm very near (or just passed) the original factory warranty & am entering the CPO portion.. I'm not sure what that really means for the car, but I'll find out soon.

Chris showed me your Kleemann headers, which didn't help... LOL.

Yeah Chris mentioned that to me to...Did you get the fuel pump recall done? I would definitely get that done ASAP. I don't want anybody to go through what I went through with that...Can you believe that when it first happened in December (prior to recall) they had the cojones to blame my K2 mods right off the bat, without any investigation. Then when they cleaned up the leak and fixed the fuel tank malfunction, two days later the fuel pump relay was toast. Then...three months later everyone starts getting this recall notice...bastichs...after they red-flagged my car.

Who's your SA?

Currently, my SA is Dillon Haiste at Duval Motors in Gainesville. I've talked about mods with him & he couldn't really give me an answer on how they treat them up there... probably not a good sign.

I have no problem modding my car & playing with "big boy rules"; if I blow the engine, trans, etc., probably my fault. If the stereo or power windows crap out, I don't want to be left high & dry because the car has a pulley & headers. Of course my dealer already knows about my VRP airbox & tubes, so if they wanted to be a-holes, I'm sure they could already do it. Who knows?

Yeah...probably not a good sign...sounds like CYA by SA's response. They won't care about the airbox or tubes until something goes wrong...been there...

Keep me posted and if you need anything...let me know...I'll help in anyway I can.

Just got an email....

they (C2Design) are driving my car to the gas station for some gas ! They are going to let it sit and cool down and I might be picking it up tomorrow. They did say I need a new battery since mine is shot...also Chris noted that it doesn't sound like a MB anymore !
