building an E55 with Wiestec forged internals need advise!
Hey Yall, my E55 is from upstate NY. Just picked it up from Eurocharged Canada after an MBH full exhaust, wiestec ice box, and aem meth kit install followed by a custom dyno tune. I'm looking to take this car to the next level and start building the motor. Looking for advise on where and what to buy. I would like to achieve 850whp.
Maybe the wiestec pistons and supercharger? Can I have my stock heads ported and polished and not buy the wiestec heads? Do I need new rods, and head bolts? What else should I be searching for? Any help is appreciated also looking for deals since I won't start building until fall 2015. Thanks guys!

850whp? Where did you get that number? Nobody has done it before in a M113. You're gonna need everything you mentioned and then some. Do you want to spray it? Hope you have deep pockets. You can get ported heads from Powerhaus Performance in NJ.
Also, don't buy products that aren't proven with results. Lots of things are sold on here based on hype. You can tell what products work by the times the car has ran. Don't fall for the "ZOMG my traction control light blinked 12 times!!!" or other butt dyno BS

I am just around 500 whp now. Hoping I can get most parts for around 12k Maybe some slightly used or new but never installed. :/ we will see. Probably wiestec blower, heads, pistons and sleeves. Then a 80 shot of nitrous and pull the meth kit

Have you checked the price on the Weistec supercharger alone? That and a built trans and you're already over budget. Are you doing all the work yourself? I think you will need to raise your budget drastically.

Realisically it's going to be about 20k in parts if all ordered from wiestec. What I was hoping for was maybe some alternatives, maybe some other brands that may be better and cheaper?

That's the first thing I thought of. You're going to spend a lot on "supporting" mods, You know, the things that nobody really wants to spend on.
Don't aim for a WHP number, aim for $. Start with supporting mods, and then spend what's leftover on HP.
If your goal is about 850 wheel, then first build a trans that can take 1000. That's half of your budget right there, and you haven't even started to make HP yet! You'll need big *** ****ing slicks to put the power to the ground. Money's almost gone, and still you're dicking around with the rest of us at about 500 wheel. So now, you'll need to make a choice; increase budget for weistec blower, or increase budget for TT.
Either way, (and really, I'm a dreamer too, and I like to believe in budget power), putting 850HP to the ground puts you in the realm of 25K.(in an E55. You might be better off starting with a 2003 cl600?)

So you believe I should start with a Trans upgrade instead of forged internals? I don't like how cl's look. I am in no hurry so I don't need to get everything together until fall/winter 2015-16. I'm looking for some lost interest project parts that never were installed. Anyone have anything let me know!

MBWorld Fanatic!
Why 850whp?
What is your goal?
Is it drag strip, street racing or the auto show circuit with an 850whp dyno graph in the window?
Not trying to be a dick, but those around here that could give really solid advice would base that advice on goals for the car and not just a dyno number.

Sh*t, engine and mods alone have set me back over $20K and I'm just over 600 whp with MS109 racing fuel. If you want a 850 whp M113 you are going to have to use a 200 shot. lol

I'm already in 20k with maintenance, exhaust and all other standard bolt ons. AMG is not an inexpensive car to mod!

I know Weistec does does upgraded transmissions. IPT lists more than a few part and service options as well, although I'd probably call them to ensure theri kits include everything needed. I've been thinking about going that route myself.

You could just buy the built motor EC sells but still it's 850 crank not whp, I believe Around 775 it puts to the wheels and costs about 29k lol I honestly think ur better off just buying a different car if its power your after but then again it is possible if you have deep pockets but how reliable will it be and God forbid something breaks it's not going to be cheap! might want to think over your plan if were you I would do the heads with Pistons and do a 185CP and 84 s/c pulley 150 shot and call it a day oh n really sticky icky tires, good luck.

According to their site on race gas makes 850 crank take 16% off that should make closer to 800whp... pump gas they rate 775 crank so give or take should be around 730whp.
