From lowriders to custom designed builds, this rigged-out Actros keep on truckin’ with a lot of style and swagger.

When you think of Mercedes-Benz Actros you think of a reliable, clean, heavy-duty haulers. They’re slick, yes, but they’re not exactly showstoppers. But Finnish company Auvinen Trucking has been turning the semi into a truly wild build.

The Mercedes-Benz Actros is their main platform, and they have created customized trucks that not only look unbelievable, but continue to perform solidly as a commercial vehicle. These trucks aren’t just workhorses, they are works of automotive art. They are created with a lot of fun, creativity, and humor—and damn are they cool.

Auvinen Trucking is based out of Helsinki, Finland. And for the last several years, they have built custom trucks that have taken inspiration from a number of unusual places—classic lowrider cars, Hollywood, American icons, even actor Danny Trejo. It sounds random and a little crazy, sure. However, the results are big rigs that rule the road with inspired design, exquisite details, and style for days.

Each build takes thousands of hours of man power (and a lot of moola) to complete. Seeing each finished truck it is clear that they were built with a lot of passion, fun, and a keen eye. Auvinen trucks excel in intricate craftsmanship, brilliant mechanical touches, and remarkable attention to detail.

And while these rigs make the rounds as show trucks, they don’t gather dust as garage queens between shows—they are also actual working trucks. Auvinen says on their Facebook page, “As the title says, these trucks are made for work use–even if it’s the Lowrider!”

Maybe the coolest of the fleet is the “Lowrider.” Taking its cue from classic lowrider cars and its culture, this purple custom truck is truly incredible. The Actros 2663 has been appropriately lowered, and features sleek chrome finishes. In purple and gold, this truck conveys lowrider royalty.

It also comes with two matching silo trailers, and twenty white wall tires with chrome rims, of course. The custom line work features precise gold and white pinstriping, as well as artwork featuring gold crowns, depicting a 1957 Oldsmobile lowrider on the front, and most importantly, actor and all around badass Danny Trejo on the side.
