The Mercedes-AMG Team RAVENOL bagged another victory at the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring.

Since 1970, the storied Nürburgring Nordschleife has hosted an annual 24-hour endurance race: the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring. Combining the Nordschleife with the Nürburgring Grand Prix course, the track totals 25.378 kilometers (about 15.8 miles) of dynamic corners, elevation changes, and the high-speed Döttinger Höhe straight. Add in the fact that the race teams

Needless to say, drivers Maro Engel, Maxime Martin, Fabian Schiller, and Luca Stolz had had their work cut out for them in the brightly liveried No. 80 RAVENOL Mercedes-AMG GT3 car. During the course of the race, the drivers had to contend with rain, darkness, fatigue, aggressive racing, and, of course, the challenging nature of the twisty Nürburgring. Fortunately for the No. 80 RAVENOL Mercedes-AMG GT3 car, the team elected to swap in the rain-friendly tires just in time for the rain to roll in four hours after the start of the race.

In addition to the No. 80 AMG GT3 car, Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing (yes, that Verstappen) fielded the No. 3 Mercedes-AMG GT3 with drivers Lucas Auer, Jules Gounon, Daniel Juncadella, and Max Verstappen (again, that Verstappen). But stiff competition wasn’t enough to stop Mercedes-AMG Team RAVENOL, securing a win in the Eifel classic with a two-minute lead.

Their first victory in 10 years, recapped in video

For Mercedes-AMG Team RAVENOL, the victory is more significant than a single-race win. For starters, it’s been a decade since the team netted a similar success. Still, that dry spell didn’t keep the Mercedes-AMG team from bagging its latest triumph at the legendary Green Hell. What’s more, the win represents the third win of its kind for Mercedes-AMG Team RAVENOL at the 24h Nürburgring. And, if that wasn’t cause enough for celebration, the No. 80 car was victorious in the iconic endurance race’s largest ever group of entrants at 161 cars.
