The W205 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is expected to be revealed at the 2014 North American International Auto Show, and ahead of its January debut, we’re getting info about the car’s myriad technological advancements.

You’d almost think Mercedes-Benz was reading MBWorld forum posts like the one where current owners list the features they wish were available on their cars. Wishes will be fulfilled, and then some; the next C-Class will offer tech like a head-up display, AIRMATIC air suspension, DISTRONIC PLUS, touchpad input and a GPS-linked air conditioning system that can sense when the car is about to enter a tunnel, thereby switching to air recirculation mode to prevent polluted air from entering the vehicle. The new C-Class will also offer the cabin-perfuming AIR-BALANCE system, which was first introduced in the S-Class.

Built on the aluminum-intensive MRA platform that also underpins the E-Class and S-Class, the W205 C-Class will weigh about 220 pounds less than the W204.

The 2015 C-Class goes on sale in the late summer of 2014.
