Star Treatment: 2012 ML63 AMG to Debut at LA Auto Show

We already knew that AMG was giving the star treatment to the new ML crossover, what we didn’t know was when. We do now. Mercedes has confirmed that the latest AMG masterpiece, the 2012 ML63 AMG will make its grand debut next month on the red carpet at the LA Auto Show.

The powerplant is of yet unconfirmed, but we suspect they’ll switch out
the naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V-8 and upgrade to the more efficient
twin-turbo 5.5-liter V-8 found in
current larger AMG products like the S63 and CL63. The
5.5-liter should make at least 518 hp.

On top of the performance
upgrades, the AMG treatment should most assuredly bring visual upgrades
as well, no doubt worthy of the tinsel town lights.

The 2012 ML63 AMG will go on sale early next year.
