Look under the hood of the Mercedes Benz CLA45 AMG, and you’ll find the most powerful production four-banger in the world, with 355 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. How does Mercedes-Benz achieve a specific output of 177 horsepower per liter? Boost, and heaps of it — 26.1 pounds, to be exact.

All that power makes the CLA45 AMG hustle to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds. Not long after you hit 60, you’re barreling through the quarter mile with an ET of 12.7 seconds at 108.3 mph … impressive numbers for a car that weighs 16 ounces shy of 3,600 pounds.

The entry-level AMG starts at $48,355. Add more than 10 grand to that, and you’ve got the price of the car you see in the video — $58,945.
