2015 Mercedes C63 AMG Edition 1 Debuts in Paris
We’ve all been waiting around to see the new C63 in the flesh. It’s been one of my most eagerly awaited cars this year. The combination of a detuned AMG GT engine and a proper RWD platform just ooze awesomeness. Now that it has debuted to the public at the Paris Motor Show, we can show you a few more details thanks to images posted by forum member “zibby43“.
First off are the wheels. The blacked-out, center-lug AMG Matte wheels with redline accents are a perfect match to the already sinister look of this car.
While I’m still not that big of a fan of the rear tail section, I am a fan of the increasingly aggressive front fascia. The hood rips add a particularly menacing aspect, but the way the tail of this car flows just doesn’t do anything for me. It looks too CLA, especially with those taillights.
Obviously where Mercedes spent most of its time was in the interior. The innards have been completely reworked and they are stunning. The alcantara steering wheel is a wonderful piece of kit that I wish more manufacturers would add to their lineups, and the seats are just epic to look at. It is definitely a cockpit deserving of such a performer.
We are still a bit away from getting our ruddy paws on one, but as soon as we get a chance to get behind the wheel, you’d better know we are going to hoon the hell out of it.
