Posaidon RS 830 Plus: When 613 Horsepower Is Just not Enough
Mad Mercedes tuner Posaidon’s RS 830 Plus makes the AMG E 63 S Wagon a sub 3-second 0-60, 220 mph bullet.
Not satisfied with its already potent powerplant, German Mercedes tuner Posaidon has now released a 940 horsepower version of the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S Wagon, totally blowing the Affalterbach factory’s 613 hp out of the water!
Best of all, it’s applied its magic to a freshly facelifted $112,450 S213 series E 63 S station wagon to ensure the ultimate weapon for you to take your German Shepherds to the beach with.
RS 830 + gets high-performance ball-bearing turbochargers.
The top of Posaidon’s trio of E 63 S options, RS 830+ gains ported cylinder heads with flowed valve seats. Add high-performance ball-bearing turbochargers and water-methanol injection. To up output to a rather compelling 940 hp and 944 lb ft. The Mülheim-Kärlich based tuner reckons its $62,500 tuned T-model kit will blast to 60 mph in well under three seconds.
That’s over and above the $29,000 base version’s upgraded turbochargers, sports air filters and downpipes and sports catalytic converters. Add reworked ECU tuning for the respective engine, transmission and drive train control units. That enables 60 mph in a claimed 3.2 seconds and a 350 km/h top end is. A middle of the road 880 hp 885 lb ft Posaidon E 63 S kit will set you back a cool $36,200.
Best of all, its a bit of a sleeper!
Best of all is that the Posaidon RS 830 + is a bit of a sleeper. It looks like a regular E63 S to the untrained eye. Just hope those Alsatians have good sea legs then!
