Despite having individual winning elements–seven time world champion Michael Schumacher, constructor’s champion Brawn GP, technical genius Ross Brawn, and factory support of German premium car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz, the Mercedes GP Petronas team still falls short of coming up with a winning formula for this season’s Grand Prix.

It’s no secret that Schumi’s comeback wasn’t quite as strong as expected. He’s tenth overall right now in the Driver’s Championship standings with a mere 46-point tally. This leads fans to speculate as to whether he will be back for 2011, or let alone finish off the season’s remaining grand prix races.

According to Ross Brawn, however, Schumi will in fact stay for next season, and will race for the rest of 2010. Brawn admits that Schumi is disappointed, but the German loves racing so much that he comes to work everyday wanting to find solutions with the rest of the team despite his lackluster performance.

Brawn is hoping that Michael will be able to surpass his difficulties with the new Bridgestone tires. Hopefully next season, things will be much more manageable for the seven-time world champion once the team changes to Pirellis. Michael is the sort of driver who puts a lot of credit on his front tires to handle his hard braking and maneuvering skills.
