No one will blame you for not knowing who Kim Dotcom is. What’s important, is that he’s an extremely wealthy nerd with a thing for being flashy. Lucky for us, he’s also got a thing for driving fast and a love for Mercedes-Benz. As a result, he can do things that are pure fantasy for the rest of us.
Like driving three AMG CLK DTM cars around the Nurburgring with a huge camera crew and Kimi Raikkonen.
The man behind this video is one Kim Schmitz. You might know him as the guy behind (the now defunct) Megaupload. He’s also a several time convicted felon, notorious hacker, Gumball rally-er, and a 100% bonafide evil genius.
This is probably the most lavishly shot Nurburgring video ever. Considering the production though, it should be: 30 cameras, over 100 crew people, 2 helicopters, 2 camera cars, and even an airplane were used to shoot it.
