It’s always a spectacle when a Formula 1 car races a jet. In this case we have Lewis Hamilton racing the Mercedes AMG Petronas MGP W02 demo car against a British Royal Air Force Red Arrows Hawk T1.

This whole car-versus-jet thing is the automotive version of a sparring match, but it’s still great morning entertainment.

Entertain this notion: Imagine strapping a commercial jet engine behind that MGP W02. Now we’re at the races.
