Beverly Hills custom shop takes a ‘regular’ Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG and turns it into a custom stretched truck fit for Baja.

Pit26 Motorsports has a thing for the G-Class. This, the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, is the firm’s latest creation. Pit26 Motorsports says this massive, stretched, $385,000 V8-powered monster is built for “off-road adventuring, desert mobbing, and dune running.” That price, by the way, is for starters. The custom builds all start life the same way- as a 2019-2023 G63 AMG or G550.

From there, the disassembly begins. Pit26 removes the front bumper, rear bumper, and side steps. Then, the $179,000 MSRP G-Wagen gets cut up, just behind the rear seats. The now-lengthier Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG reuses the rear glass for its new crew cab. More specifically, Pit26 extends your new off-road G-Class by a whole 20 inches. Pit26 says this isn’t some shoddy chop job either. The firm states it uses only OEM parts. Obviously, that’s exactly what anyone paying such a stratospheric sum would want to hear.

Longer Legs with Portal Axles

Pits26 makes other modifications to make the G63 more formidable off-road. These include the addition of re-geared portal axles. These, when paired with the new 2.65-inch Bilstein shocks and springs add serious ground clearance. Finally, other new suspension odds and ends include new control arms and a new steering knuckle. The result? A whopping nine more inches of ground clearance

Further grip and stability are offered thanks to additional truss supports along the rear axles paired with new tires. Obviously, to net nine inches of ground clearance, these tires must be massive. They’re provided by Toyo and measure 38 inches. Pit26 wraps these around 18-inch Innov8 wheels.

G63 AMG Any Way You Want It

Pit26 offers a range of customization options for its crew cab Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. On top of that, the brand offers a First Edition model. This comes with a handful of goodies like an integrated winch with new a new bumper, full-size spare tire, roof tent and rack with KC lights, and electric side steps. Additionally, a custom exhaust, cargo storage, and bike racks are fitted.

Founder and CEO Sammi Shaaya says that he keeps everything OEM in order to “create customs that don’t feel custom,” and that each Pit26 G-Class requires more than 1,100 hours of build work.

While the tuning company lists this range of upgrades for the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, it does not say which ones will be available to non-First Edition customers. However, at almost $400,000, it had better be just about anything one could want.
