Mercedes-Benz Releases European Pricing for New E-Class Cabriolet

Hot new A238 Cabriolet soft top will start at 54,228 euros.

Remember that 2018 Mercedes-Benz A238 E-Class Cabriolet that was all the buzz during the Geneva Motor Show? Well, we now know how much the hot new addition to the lineup will set you back in Germany.

According to AutoEvolution, the A238 soft-top convertible will carry a base sticker price of 54,228 euros, if you opt for the entry-level 2.0-liter turbo model. The least expensive variant of the new Mercedes E-Class drop-top, the E 220 d, is priced at 44,675 euros.

There’s also a bigger turbo diesel variant available in the form of the E350 d 4Matic, powered by a 3.0-liter rated at 258 PS (190 kW) or 254 horsepower. Though, it appears that the German carmaker has yet to release a price on that model.

Furthermore, there are also rumors that Mercedes might roll out an AMG variant as an E50 4Matic.

The most coveted model, however, will likely be the 25th Anniversary Edition. That features 20-inch alloy wheels, Designo Nappa leather with diamond quilting, and exclusive badging. The special-edition convertible is also available in two special exterior colors: Rubellite Red or Iridium Silver.

All of the new E-Class variants share one thing in common: a soft-top capable of opening and closing in 20 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h (31 mph). And beyond that, they also offer an appeal that is uniquely Mercedes-Benz.
