G-Wagen Finally Corrects Previous Imperfections For 2018

Latest Mercedes G-Wagen has new, harder-to-steal headlights and taillights, among other cool new features.

There’s no denying the fact that the original, outgoing Mercedes G-Wagon was an amazing, iconic vehicle. How else could something last decades on the market, with few actual changes? These days, we’re seeing major redesigns on some models every 2-3 years, which makes the G-Wagon’s survival even more impressive. But now that Mercedes has finally decided to give their iconic off-roader a redo, many were worried that it might lose its original luster.

But not popular YouTuber Salomondrin. He and his buddies understandably have a wish list for the new Mercedes G-Wagen, which they share on the way to drive it, while driving an old one. They find the old ‘ute to be “rough, not refined” with “no leg room in the back.” But those are little niggles that M-B can easily fix, right? Not bad for something that’s been on the market for decades!

One thing’s for sure, there’s no better person to review the new G-Wagen. Salomondrin’s wife has owned an older one for years, so he’s very much familiar with it. And the first impressions are, to say the least, great. “I’ve never been a G-Wagen guy, but now I want one,” quips his buddy. “The best part of it is the roundness of it, but it still looks beefy.”

It takes a while for the group to pick their collective jaws off the floor. But they’re equally floored by the incredible interior. And the love fest continues. The trio practically drools over every single detail of the new G-Wagen, including some cool details like the new, harder-to-steal headlights and taillights. And of course, the real cupholders, which are certainly worth a celebration.

The only bad part? Old G-Wagen owners are going to have more than a little envy when they see these bad boys out on the road.
