This car is a sleeper in the truest sense. According to BringATrailer, this is not your average 30-year-old big diesel Mercedes. This 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300SDL was once a stately, luxurious machine, but now it wears three decades of weathering and battle scars on its still proud, but slightly worse-for-wear exterior.
While the outside could certainly use a repaint, the inside is another story. With an upmarket Palamino leather interior swapped from a V8 W126, it’s an even more comfortable place to spend time now than it was when Reagan was in the white house. Still, that’s not why we’re here.
