Spy Shots: ML-Class Lifts Face, Tones Up on ‘Ring, Changes Name to MLE-Class

Spy-Shots of Cars

First it was known as the M, but that wasn’t enough, so it became the ML. Apparently that wasn’t enough because soon it will become the MLE-Class. I wish my investments would grow as much as this SUV’s name has.

Our spies caught this MLE at Nürburgring finishing school, and they say it will be getting a single-bar grille. I wonder whom they had to electrocute to obtain that info nugget.

The spies then direct our attention to the character lines on the vehicle’s flanks. Yes, this facelift also includes a side-lift, but it’s more like a side-change as the lines are completely different according to the deadly spies.

Now, here’s where things get really geeky: the bezels of the wheel arches have been softened. Oh snap! Shit just got real. Where are my inch-thick spectacles and my pocket protector?

MLE variants should include a 2.1-liter I4 twin-turbo diesel model (MLE250 BlueTEC), a twin-turbo 3.0L V6 model (MLE400), a hybrid, and the MLE63 AMG for those who pay no attention to anything less than a hundred Gs.

Expect the new name and face in showrooms in 2015 for the 2016 model year.
