Even the Best Can Get Stuck: 6×6 Gets Stranded In Snow

Stuck in Snow AMG G-Class 6x6

The 6×6 is stuck so thoroughly in the white stuff that even a Snowcat can’t yank it out.

OK, we have to confess that snow can stop a 6×6, but the amount it takes is measured in feet. Evidence of this is proven by a supercar collector who you may already be following on Instagram. If you aren’t following Gregb.23, you should be, because he takes the best and most humorous approach to a bad situation. A video on his account showcases his predicament with deep snow, including the fact that the super off-roader is stuck so deeply that even a snow vehicle on tracks can’t provide a rescue.

Panzer down! & this happened… not even the #SnowCat… #Cortina

Considering Greg was off-roading the 6×6 shouldn’t be much of a surprise to anyone who follows his social media. He’s of the mindset that vehicles are meant to be driven, and the 6×6 is perfect for a snowy drive. That snowy drive was in the alps of Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, where he also came across a stranded driver of another type of luxury SUV. But the power of snow is immense and even with full locking diffs, portal axles and all the off-road capability that can be packed into a truck, even a 6×6 can get stuck.

We know Mercedes did a lot of research to make this one of the most capable machines on the planet, and it is. With its ability to wade through feet of water at a time, ascend and descend some incredibly steep angles and conquer almost any terrain, it could make you feel invisible. But nothing matches the power of Mother Nature.
