Thanks to an ECU tune, this Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S coupe makes big power, but it’s also quite stylish, too.

With SUVs and crossovers continuing to take over the world, those who crave performance luckily aren’t devoid of options for hot rod family haulers. Look no further than Mercedes, for example, which has applied its AMG treatment to a full array of crossovers in numerous ways, giving us many choices in that regard. But for those that want even more style and performance, this heavily modified Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S coupe up for grabs at Road Show International should certainly fit the bill.

For starters, this particular Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S coupe looks much sportier than the stock version, thanks to the addition of a full RS Edition carbon fiber body kit, including a new hood with red gloss accents. That look is perfectly accented by a set of massive 24-inch RS wheels finished in gloss black and red, especially with the addition of 20mm lowering suspension links to bring it a bit closer to the ground. A set of requisite RS badges lets everyone know this is no regular GLE, either.

Inside the cabin, this crossover coupe has received a full array of upgrades as well, a list that includes a full RS Hotspur Red interior package, custom headrest logos, a two-tone carbon fiber Hotspur Red steering wheel, a “shooting starlight” headliner, and a new sound system with a subwoofer for cranking out the tunes.

However, the modifications present on this GLE 63 S aren’t just limited to looks – rather, it has received an ECU upgrade as well, which helps its twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 improve its factory output rating of 603 horsepower by 75, bringing that total up to 678. That extra juice shows up in terms of performance as well, because this stylish crossover rockets to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds, with top speed coming in at 170 mph.

Add it all up, and you’ve got a pretty amazing looking family hauler with plenty of grunt under the hood – to the point where this GLE could easily dust quite a few sports and supercars out there. And in our opinion, if you’re forced to drive something like a crossover or SUV, it might as well be supercar quick, right?
