Hi,

I have a brand new set of Carlsson 1/16 ultralight wheels with Michelin PS2 for sale.
The front wheel is 19 x 8.5 ET30 with 245/35-19 tire and the rear is 19 x 10 ET35 with 275/30-19. The bolt pattern is 5 x 112.
Selling them for $9000+shipping. The wheels have never been mounted on the car since I got them. Prefer local buyer.

The full retail of the wheels and tires brand new is more than 10k.

Good lord, $9000??? Does a car come with it?

I think HRE's and even BBS LM's are a stretch for what they ask for yet I can even appreciate the perceived value for which I would gladly pay,...but $9000 worth of non-precious metal that offer no performance gain compared to wheels half that price.

I certainly hope Ingvar Carlsson himself hand carved those out of a single block of aluminum!

I would be interested, but not at the price. At that price, id rather spend the extra money and get them brand spanking new and see them mounted myself. When we are talking this kind of money on these wheels, youd have to discount them more to make the value seem better. Im confident I could talk to people I know and buy them for 9 grand.

Closer to 6 grand then id consider it.

Carlsson Ultralights are lightweight wheels, weighing 10 lbs less each wheel compared to a wheel of the same size.

They are forged by APP FOMB, a company that is the leader in forging technologies. Each wheel is cut from a solid core of forged aluminum - taking an entire week on a CNC machine that runs 24 hours a day.

The result is the strongest wheel in the market, and yes, it is 5x stronger than any modular wheel like HRE (1-pc construction is already stronger to begin with). It can and will sustain a pothole that would completely destroy your precious BBS or HRE (and standard cast of course).

Your suspension arms/components will most likely bend from a pothole impact before you can put a flat spot on these wheels.

My precious BBS or HRE's? I'm on stock AMG's as my winter set up. I had BBS LM's on a previous car which was run off the road, hitting a curb. I blew tires, bent just about everything under the car but wheels were still straight.

I think those Carlssons are incredible. All I was saying is that $9000 for a set of wheels is a lot of pissin' money. I certainly appreciate the lesson on how they are made and I am very impressed.

Based on what you wrote, I would expect that $9000 aluminum to survive anything and everything the driver puts it through.

I covet these wheels (as does every 500E/E500 owner I know); I wish your offsets were a perfect match for my application (Porsche 996 TT brakeset on a 1993 500E); unfortunately, they are not.

(including Dunlop SP9000 tires and free shipping).

Given the rarity/cost of these (extreme performance/cosmetics) wheels, I respect your asking price; however, I would agree with the consensus that a lower price-point would yield a faster sale - especially given the current market/economy.

Thanks for helping me to advertise the wheels on your other site Run.exe, i think that i got the same price for the wheels, just that I mounted it on the PS2 that's why it costs more. The difference is about 90 bucks per tire. Anyways, thanks again for your help.

UL 1/16 are $2500 per wheel w/o the tires, but HOLY *****...they are WAY overpriced. HRE are already overpriced and these are just off the chart.

BUT if I have a S/SL/CL 65, these would be the wheels for it.

I paid $5000 for a flawless used set wrapped in PS2's... I'd say that's close to the going rate.
