Cross-Drilled Rotors for our C55's - interest list?

Any interest in getting cross-drilled rear rotors for your C55? Brembo currently doesn't make them and has offered to do so. The minimum order is 3 sets. If there interest, we'll ask Neal w/ EuroTeck (MBWorld sponsor) to setup the group buy. Please reply to this thread with interest. Obviously we don't know a price but it can't be to bad.

Are you sure the C55 rear brakes are different from the other W203's? I know Brembo makes cross drilled rear rotors for the other 203's so I guess it's possible they just haven't checked to see if they're compatible with 55's yet?

We will? Did you speak with Brembo directly? or a dealer?

Btw, Brembo does not make cross drilled rotors for the the c-class. If evosport is selling it that way, they must be buying the OEM replacement rotors from Brembo and having them cross drilled somewhere else.

The C32 and C55 have slighly larger rear brakes then the other W203s. Also the C32/C55 rear brakes are vented, the other W203s are not. Like i said about the cross drilling above, Brembo does not sell it that way, if places are selling cross drilled rotors that way for the c-class, the drilling is not done by Brembo.

I'll be interesed in getting one if the price is right!
I know evosport charges a REALLY high prices for their OEM cross drilled brake disks for the larger MBs..

The cross drilled brake discs pretty much doesnt really make a big diff but only for looks....
so
hopefully it wont be that expensive!

Assuming that the rear rotors are the same for the C32 as they are for the C55, I'd be interested if the price isn't too bad. Are we talking cross-drilled and ventilated? I tried buying cross-drilled from one of the auto parts websites and when they came, they weren't ventilated, and were much slimmer than the original ones on there. I sent them back.

HAHA... I should have emphasized "ask" or maybe used "begged"... LOL.

We spoke to Brembo directly. From a safety standpoint, it is not wise to cross-drill our OEM rotors.

They will be cross-drilled and ventilated.

We have submitted a request for the price.

Thanks for the info Neal. You're 100% sure about that? A reputable local shop said they could get me rear x-drilled Brembo rotors too...no mention of drilling themselves.

Neal is correct - Brembo doesn't currently make OEM replacement cross-drilled rotors for our car. That reputable shop is clearly mistaken.

Blake - I think they make them for your car the c230, just not for ours.

Ok, that's all I was referring to. I thought Neal was saying that Brembo didn't make ANY cross drilled rears for C's. Didn't know that our rear brakes were different... :p

Actually i was reffering to Brembo not making any cross drilled rotors at all for the C-class. When i checked about 6 months to a year ago they didn't. And if places were selling them that way they bought the OEM replacement rotors and had them cross drilled somewhere. Now, i did find that out a while ago already, so i am not sure if its still up to date.

Hmmm. Can you check on that? Also, can you get Stoptech rotors? I know they make drilled rear rotors for C's. Not sure about fronts though.

Will the drill pattern match the front rotors? If so I'd be down to get a pair.

Now can one get these adapted to the 2003 C230SS (my car )? C240? C320?

If I had the correct calipers/rotors would I be able to fit these on no problem and therefore can be added to this list? Hm.. questions that need answering!
