greetingz,
So steve, how come I didn't get the MBenzNL on board sticker!

BTW... Josh got a pic (although very hard to make out) of the elusive Steve, so look out, MB is going to put a hit man on you now.

I see you found more of the famous chaffed wires in his car too... good work!

Keep me in mind if a pair of ventilated front seats in Ash show up at the MBenzNL lab some time in the next year at a good price!

I didn't know there was a market for those stickers...

We have already been introduced to some regional reps of MBUSA - on their request...so they either already have their profile for a hitman or they don't tend to use one...

Luwin - where did you come from...long time no see - congrats with the mariage!

Jeon - just do it all at once .

greetingz,

greetingz,
Hey Steve

Can I get a brochure too?

I thought my W211 was one of the 'most modded' ... Mark's is the king.

Like you said, there are perks being a host.

Let me "show off" one of your latest addition to my car. My wife was impressed with this mod.

SWITCH for .....

ANOTHER SWITCH for .....

POWER TRUNK CLOSER

POWER TRUNK CLOSER in action

Another view of POWER TRUNK CLOSER in action

AND ... MBENZNL onboard ...

I really like this latest MOD. I hope others find this useful.

And Steve, like I said B4, you are THE MAN .... THANKS

J, yours is definitely one of the more modded 211s...I think we can still make it the most modded 211 though it just takes some time...

see you next trip around

Hey that is an impressive mod. I have never seen one from factory let alone fitted after the fact.

By the way, is the automatic trunk closer also can be control by the remote like you open the trunk?

Harry

This trunk closer is really cool.

I can definitely control the opening with the remote. Have not tried closing with the remote.

I will try it out when I find some time and post the results.

OK

I have done my investigation and the key fob remote only controls the opening of the trunk. With the trunk open, when I press the key fob again, the trunk tries opening again even though it is opened.

To close it, press the RED trunk closing button, or pull on the switch on the driver's door or last but not least, close it manually. Since the gear is in place, there is a lot of tension and therefore the trunk will not slam.

Hope this helps. Even without the key fob controlling the trunk closing, this is still a very functional modification

If the remote can control it will be perfect but now it is still good enough.

I host Steve every time he visits me... He eats all my cookies, drinks all my cola, I order a pizza for him... he can even stay here overnight if he wants to, but I still don't get anything for my car. I wonder why...

Anyways, Steve M, you were just having bad luck, I guess - with the TV tuners being out of stock.

greetingz,

BigSis

I have several TV tuners in stock if you want me to send them over to Steve's "office" in California.

I noticed you were already working things out with my brother... Hmm, if he says he wants them, we may be able to get Steve to NY area again to install one for our 'host in the past', and soon to be 'future host'.

BigSis

Those guys should provide a 1 year warranty on your work for God's sake.. it's not like it's not on par or better than the work at the dealer. At a minimum, they should not sweat you if you have a warranty claim on a mod..

touch wood, all my stuff works great anyway.

I am also curious how much it costs to install a automated trunk closer/button?
