Wow....sounds like your wife got the works installed on the car. if you don't mind me asking what was the cost to install a tv tuner in the car? Thats sounds like something I would like to do. I already have the nav/comand in my car. was it difficult?

thanks

It was fun watching you buzz around in your SMART, that thing cracks me up One day I will join the ranks.

The Install took several days..between other installs..the last day they went over 24 hours doing installs..was up til 630 am..then they drove up to the Bay area to do yet another Install for a Mercedes Dealership the same day!
Steve and Dean work Magic on the cars!

Steve even found a LOW JACK in her car...that was REMOVED...
The Hack that Installed it should Not be allowed to be Near a car..Yet install the lowjack system..

Thanks Steve and Dean for convincing me to lower my car even FURTHER..
Your car needed to be lower!...looks better!

Remember I get a Demo when the Hot Rod shows up!

Cant wait til the Next trip here...More Mods!!

Wow, I think this was the car that was sitting in the garage that night I got my car lowered. If I would've known, I would've took a closer look at what Dean and Steve were doing.

Lower your car more? What about me? haha

Low Jack on a Late Mercedes is a Joke...With the rolling codes on the Keys..The Only way to steal it will be with a key or a tow truck.also if you want to track it call tel aid..with a police report...Most local law enforcement here in the (HOOD) do NOT have it so you are sol....

low Jack is a cash cow for the dealers...

Plus the Install was such a HACK JOB...I wanted it removed!

I Will return the Low Jack system to the Dealership...The look on there face Im Sure will be PRICELESS... :p

congrats Mark ! or should I say, congrats to Mark's wife !!?!

anyway, can't go wrong with Steve & Dean taking an entire car apart and putting it back together...

and what's this about a "MBenzNL Onboard" sticker ??? you know I'm the sticker ***** !!!!

let's see.... my MBenzNL wish list:

- AMG F1 Safety Car Steering Wheel
- Euro C-Coupe rear plate bezel
- UHI w/ VC
- MB TV Tuner
- DISTRONIC
- AMG contoured/heated/vented seats
- and a whole lot of programming that will require swapping a bunch of modules just to get cool things to pop up in my MFD

Nothing MB related (sorry)
OMG, Steve and Dean must have had the time of their life! Tearing up your car like this!

I like seeing those pics where there is hardly any interior left, and then later on the 'after' pics, where you can hardly see anything has been added... because it looks like factory..?

BTW, Mark - I guess I didn't get fired this time? Must have been because Steve had too much spare time on his hands - and was able to work on the W211 for your 'Better (!) Half'.

greetingz,

BigSis

That job looks way too scary for me. It's almost as bad as seeing my wife ripped open when she had a C-section...well, almost. Can you just PM a final cost for everything? I want that whole list done to mine too. I just need a ballpark figure so I know how much I need to refinance my house for...lol.

Mark won't know - his car is being modified to the max so that we have an example car at display...one of the advantages of being an install host .

Just to make sure the proper list of mods is posted...once we are finished, the car will have the following options added:
220 parktronic
289 wood leather steering wheel (with leather airbag)
388 UHI phonesystem
390 voice recognition
401 ventilated seats
433 drive dynamic driverside seat
434 drive dynamic pass side seat
443 heated steering wheel
475 tire pressure monitor system
500 power folding sidemirrors
527 euro DVD comand with nav drive
614 bi xenon headlights WITH functioning auto levelling feature
810 HK soundsystem
860 TV tuner
881 trunklid closer
882 interior motion sensor

besides that, the car also got LED taillights, euro front bumperstrips and euro convex mirror glasses...
The currently retrofitted xenon headlights will be swapped out for active cornering ones on the next trip...

We only worked on this car in between of the other scheduled installs...and most of the last evening and night before we headed back to the bay area...
Heated steering wheel will be done later on as well.

taking apart a 1200 miles old car is fun
