Haha, no. I just go through spurts. I do something for a while, forget it for a while, then go back to it. Most of my initial mods to my car came within the first few months. I wanted to buy a toy, something like a 190e 16v, a turbo Maxima, or possibly an old Porsche. Then I realized I don't want a headache of an older car and decided to put the $10K I was going to spend into the coupe.

It was Mark's IC, made from Spearco.

It is, of course, the infamous prototype Renntech intercooler. Don't you guys remember? .

But didn't they establish that it didn't show any gains or was that just hearsay and never proven? I can't remember.

True.. but no one has ever tried it (sans Alwin.. but no info/dyno on it) on the high-boost M271 engine.. which could possibly benefit from a bigger core. Go for it!

And what Flip doesn't realize is I specifically gave him incorrect dimensions so my car will be better then all the others

Erik, looks much nicer! Isn't that steering wheel a huge improvement?

Your interior is screaming for an aftermarket shift knob now, though.

OMG I had no idea what a difference the wheel would make...I LOVE IT!

Yes, I am thinking a new shifter as well...I was looking into Brabus, but I want to feel it (oh baby) so I'm hoping one of the 10 people at the meet will have one...if not, I was going to talk to you about it (since you've had more than anyone I suspect).

Thank you.

Last mods I am going to do:

1. Lorinser Spoiler installed
2. Some sort of shifter
3. Black rims

For #3 I'm thinking the same Moven's but black instead of silver. Anyone feel free to chime in, I'm looking at $1,000 give or take for that last mod...is it worth it?

Then down the line, if it is hackable to watch movies while driving...Pioneer AVIC-Z1

Not sure - here's my list so far:
Original C7 knob - to Davidta
Renntech knob - to columbus
Momo Performance - currently, somewhere in apt.
Momo Competitzione - to nukblazi
Sparco Racing - guy from crx forums
Momo Corsa - currently on car

I certainly hope that there's not anyone dumb enough to beat that list.

Wow! I haven't been on this site in a while and I'm glad to know that a lot has progressed as far as performance mods for the M271. Maybe it's a bad thing because now I'm motivated to go for that pulley, header and exhaust combo from Kleemann. Wwwwwhhhhhhyyyyy??????

First, this one is for tommy:

Guess what mod is still sitting in my garage with the original plastic cover?

Haha.

I had the spoiler installed (finally). For those that remember this is the Lorinser prototype that I hunted down over 2 years ago, had stolen by the body shop, hunted down another one, and now it's on my car. Over 2 years and $2,000 later, It's on.

Damn - that looks awesome. Take some outside pics! I don't think I've ever seen (or will ever see) a wing like that. Looks kinda 911'ish .

I took some pics outside, for some reason it didn't look right...most likely my camera. I'll take some more tomorrow.

For those that are wondering, I have one more wing that is still sealed...this is the last one that I know of. If anyone is interested, it's $750 shipped. I have one person interested now, but if that doesn't go through I plan to put it up on ebay sometime next week.
