Co-worker hating on the 190E
so the last couple days i've been thinking about trading my 300E for a 190E evo. i told my co-worker this and she asked to see a picture of the car. when i showed her i was in complete shock to hear her say, "ew, that looks ugly."
WTF!!!!
i was soooo pissed on so many levels. i couldn't believe that someone would say it was ugly let alone add an "ew" to it as well. so freakkin pissed...
i calmed myself down by realizing this comment is coming from a person that..
1) thinks a solara is a good looking car
2) has no mercedes benz knowledge
3) is female
i mean... i didn't even show her bad pix of the car. i showed her pix found here http://www.geocities.com/nideggerh/evo2.html
ugh.. that really made me mad. maybe i just have too much love for the w124, w201 but godddddddaamn, she is so wrong

Keep the W124. Any Evo or Evo II here in North America is pretty much a kitted car since they were never brought to the US or certified by EPA/DOT. That means you're going to get, at the most, a 2.3-16 under the kit or worse. So, don't look at pics of real Evolution models, take a look at the kitted cars . . . especially what it takes to fill that huge fender flare.

Well I like them. Exceot for the huge evoII wing...I think if I wanted to drive a UFO then I would. I think the evoI wing is nicer looking. But for sure Its not what your "co-worker" thinks anyways. Its your image/time/money invested in the car...but that is unless your gettin a lil' sumtin sumtin from her...dont worry.

There are some real ones out here. I have a friend that had one imported when it was new and used to drive it all over Manhattan. I seriously doubt he was the only one.

I love this....awesome, wicked and rad
Thats cool that "dog nuts" is a positive british term. But nowadays teens and real "kewl" people use slang in an absurd fashion. I heard someone recently refer to a super hot female as being beast. Now my interpetation of beast is a cruelly rapacious person!! But then again look at most of todays youth. And I thought I was a messed up teenager. See I would use "dog nuts" like this...
"man that car licks the dog nuts"
Strange to say .... but kinda funny.

Hey MTI chillout. Whats with the attitude all the time. Do you suffer from Little man syndrome. The guy said his friend has one so it might be true. My dad has one and he couldn't give a **** if someone inthe states had one or not I suggest you do the same.

Hanson, I'm just stating the facts, not causing speculation and false information, so if that upsets you, perhaps you're the one that needs to take a "chill pill." In case you haven't noticed, I really admire the W201 series and have spent quite a bit of time working on them and learning about what makes them great cars, so misinformation about them does bring out the worse in me. That's probably the "syndrome" I suffer from, but call it what ever you like.
