buying 1986 190e 2.3-16v in US.
hi I have found a great 1986 190e 2.3-16valve that I intend to buy. It has 190k miles on it. Everything else is in pretty good condition, except the driver's window does not work. Will need a bit, but has nice paint. Now the owner has put on an aftermarket steering wheel. I am not a big fan of this and was wondering if I could put on the stock steering wheel, will I still have a functional SRS (airbag)??? anyone with any knowledge i'd appreciate any inputs available.
also, how much would you people think is a fair price this kind of car?

Ask the previous owner how they removed the old airbag steering wheel. When you initally remove the airbag from the vehicle, the SRS light on the cluster will light up. You then have two options: remove the bulb, or unplug the SRS system. When I removed airbag in my car, I just removed the bulb, because I still wanted the seatbelts to function properly. You should be able to just reinstall the old wheel with airbag, given the previous owner didn't do anything to the wiring in the meantime. When you do replace the airbag make sure the battery is disconnected.
