Does anyone know much about this??
The dude who keeps failing my emissions said that was the problem. Is this something I can regulate on my own ??

Explained in great detail by many members on the 190revolution.net forums! I am sorry but I am not about to type it all again here! Look there and search for my username and you should find all the info and tricks to setting the proper base mixture on the 190E!

you might want to look at getting a new cat, instead of trying to adjust something that does not need adjusting

Actually it may need adjusting! I had a bad Lambda tower so mine Mixture was off! And I could never get it to stay where I set it. Also could be a bad O2 sensor! All this can be checked quite easily and quickly with a VOM and pin 3 on the X11 connector on the drivers side wheel arch! Takes all of 5 minutes to check it, if that! Why bother paying for crap you do not need.

Pick up one with Duty Cycle and it is much easier for your model year! Also buy a can of Carborator or Throttle Body Cleaner. You may need to clean you Idle Air Control Valve and it would not hurt to clean the Air Flow Meter and throttle body below it!

The AFM, Air Flow Meter is under the air cleaner, you may think it is the intake but it is not. Big round hinged plate that as more air gets sucked in the engine it goes down and thus pushes a plunger on the fuel distributor to increase flow. Also has a potentiometer on it to tell the CIS-E Fuel system what to do! The Idle Air Control Valve is next to this unit with larger rubber hoses coming off of it. Looks like a small tube with a hose on the top and bottom. Go to 190Revolution.net and search there are many pictures and other things helping you with all this stuff. Great site as it is dedicated to the W201!
