Help

I am trying to determine what the name of a part is. It on a 91 190e 2.6, if I'm standing in front of the engine its on the left hand side near the area where the coolant overflow and washer fluid resevior are. Theres a hose coming out of the fire wall to the part then theres a hose the goes to the water pump...whats the name of the part that sits there? It seems to be leaking anti- frezze!

Just a suggestion, try to make your thread title a bit more descriptive than "Help"

From the description, what you are describing is the auxillary coolant pump. The small electrical pump drives heated coolant to the heater core to provide the heat source for cabin heat.

I believe it is called an expansion tank, If you mean the part with the radiator cap just behind the washer fluid tank. It is a clear plastic so that you can see the fluid level.

It's not the expansion tank or overflow(same thing) it actually sits low in the engine area..It sounds more like the auxillary pump since theres a hose thats going into the firewall...Thanks

umm the overflow tank is whats connected to the end of that hose that runs from your expansion tank right below the cap (its insulated i think), you cannot see it is in the wheel well somewhere.
