hi Folks,

this ist my first Posting on this Forum....

My name is Jens (JNS ;-)) i`m 23years old and from Germany (near from Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg). Im a Mercedes-Car Mechanic with a 190D 2.0 (in USA is this the 2.2 version) in withe. Its builded in 1985 and now, i have 99.000km on it.

Day after the smoke silver arrived off the 18 wheeler before the mods...

before innovate mototsports wideband o2 and boost gauge were in upper vent with OEM wood cut to fit and other vent is now filled with V1 radar and ET gauge

This is my 190E 2.6l with 5 speed manual, it's been driven 300 700 km. I have Eibach 60/40 lowering springs and 17" Rial wheels. Tires have such a big profile because i live in Finland and I'm using m+s tires all the time.

Here is my 86 2.3-16 . I just picked up a set of 16" CLK wheels to replace the ITWs, and plan on doing an SLS removal and lower the car soon. The SLS works fine, I just think the dampers in the rear are a bit too soft.

hey, im 16 years old and my dad is a mercedes mechanic over in the states and for my first car he came across a black on black 1991 190E 2.6L that a customer had blown the transmission so he bought it back for super cheap, fixed the transmission and now I have a 190E with only 86k miles. I have recently been looking for rims and a few other things but he does not want me to spend any money on this car saying I will never get the money back for any of the EVO II body kit, AMG wheels, Remus Exhaust etc. He wants me to save for a C320 sport and mod that instead but I really like the EVO II.

So I was just wondering what you guys who have the tricked out 190's thought, or can recommend something that worked for you that might work for me.

FevoII kits are the worst possible "mod" one could do to a 201. They look like crap, cost about 10 grand to have the bodywork done right, have 2 feet of wheel gap, and theres nothing under the hood of a 2.6 to pull anything like that off. But being 20 and having owned a 202, a 220, and then went to buy 5 stock 201s and now got 3 modded ones in the driveway, no car compares to the 2 boosted cossies. I say swap in a 3.0 M103, lower it, and enjoy her.

Welcome to the forum. Mod a C320? You have to drop serious money to mod the C320 and then it's still not worth it. You might as well buy a C32. The C32 is AMG and has more stronger/better internals. The internals for the C320 aren't that great for modding and by modding I mean Forced Induction. The CR is too high on the m112 engine (10.0:1) which max you can boost is 8psi and that's pushing it. I'm with AMGC on this one. Save your money and do an engine swap on the 201.
