Just purchased 1989 190e 2.6 ...

and I love it. Thanks to all the forum members who post and respond here, I found plenty of advice already. Now I was wondering if someone could help me out with some general suggestion for preventive maintenance. The Benz I bought has about 110k miles (odomoter is broken but it had 98k at last smog in 2005). It's in really nice condition with a few exceptions: driver's door lock does not work (I lock it from the trunk or passenger door); parking brake has to be pulled up all the way to engage; original radio works but sounds crappy; there is a missing trim piece right rear door around the pull handle; right front vent toggle switch is loose/broken. Nothing serious and nothing that can't wait!

I have no documentation of service other than assurances and a general impression that the car has not been abused or neglected, except for brake pads and rotors, which were done very recently. I'm planning to have all fluids (oil, transmission, coolant, differential, brake) changed. The car feels tight and runs great. There is a slight clunk in the front suspension when going over rough ground. Beyond the fluids, I thought I should have that checked out. As I understand it, this year has the double-link timing chain, so that should not be a worry, right?

If you had the car, what other mechanical prevention would you do?

Thanks in advance! I speak German and have the German manuals on order. If you ever need a translator, let me know!
