Center Vent Problems?
I just bought a Mercedes Benz 190E, so I don't know everything about it. But I intend to. (Bare with me) The center vents always blow ice cold air. I can't figure out why. Thats not the only problem. When they're open, all air goes through them. When closed, the other vents work like they should. Someone please help me.

there's nothing wrong with the centre vents. They blow unheated (and in the case of the a/c, uncooled) air.

Ha ha ha! As a matter of fact... that was one of the first things I discovered. When I took the car for a test drive in December, I learned more about the car in 20 minutes than the previous owner did in 2 years!
Aside from that, does anyone know any remedies to repair a pitted windshield? This car wasn't taken care of very well before I got it. I'm sure there are more questions to come. I was more than hapy when I found MBWorld. Thanks for your help.

You could take your car to a local auto glass place and have the windshield polished. The results vary depending on how badly pitted the windshield is and how deep the pits are.
Something that helps a little is to take a razor blade and scrape your windshield down with it. this won't remove the pits but will reduce the effect of the pits on visibility. Again, results will vary based on how pitted your windshield is.
