What is this?

Inside the red box I drew, there is something. I dont know what it does. It looks like it would be a read out of what gear the car is in or something. But it doesnt do anything. It doesnt light up. It doesnt display anything. Does anyone else have this on there spedo. Sorry for the crappy pic it was with my phone.

ASD indicator is an Mercedes 190E part which is a differential locking system. If the light is on the system is inoperative, the only time ive had trouble with this sytem was when a car had been on a rolling road and the system had got confused, cleared all the faults from memory and it was ok... It seems that you still have not encountered an inoperative system..

I called mercedes today. They said it was an anti slip control indacator.

They told me to try to spin my tires and see if it comes on. It didnt.

Ive never had my tires lock up on my. I drift. I've never noticed anything. Was this am option that ym car didnt get? or standard?
