Question for those of you with a 2.6:

my buddy of mine just got a 1990 W201 2.6 and i have a two question regarding his car...first, at what rpm should this car be at around 65mph? second, can you do that window trick when locking the doors? on a W124, if you hold the key in the lock position after locking your doors from the outside, all the windows, including the sunroof, will all close.....TIA

EVERYone ask the RPM question. I'm not sure exactly what RPM its supposed to be at.. but its high, like 2500 or 3000 or something. Its normal. It still gets great gas mileage. I get around 25mpg and i drive aggressively.

The trick with the window locks thing I dont think is possible, since, in my car, I have vacuum locks. Nothing electronic happens when i unlock my car. Now, if you go somewhere, they can wire it up for you. But, instead of putting the key in, you would end up holding down the lock button (on your new remote) to roll up and unlock to roll down

everything ive changed since i got the car fuel wise... K&N filter. autolite spark plug and bosch wires. 93 octane. I did a new fuel filter wich it needed badly but dint any change. Im about to get a new cap and rotor wich are burnt horribly bad. So hopefully Ill get another 1 or 2 MPG from that too.

I drive my car fast. He might have a gas leak, a bad injector, bad fuel filter, bad plugs, bad coil, when was the last tune up ? stock air filter?
