Jacobs Performance Ignition Systems, anyone try these?
For giggles, I am considering installing a Milage Master Ignition system from Jacobs Electronics. They claim performance improvements (acceleration, drivability improvements) and an extra 1-5mpg in fuel economy. I am getting 21-24mpg with conservative driving habits (watches economy guage like a hawk
) I used to drive like a maniac with my Geo metro and got 37-53mpg.

The EPA rated this car at 21mpg City, 23mpg Highway in 1986, so I can't really complain, but there's always room for improvement. I'll do my first oil change on this car next week (only drove it 900 miles since February, when I bought it). I will add a friction reducing additive to the oil, have no record of the last oil change, it was topped off and not black, so it's ok, I usually change mine at 2000 miles.
