190e 2.6 Technical problem
Problem seems to occur more the more hot and humid the external temp is. Car starts ok, but idles kind of low. When I shift into gear, forward or reverse, it dies or almost dies. Have to feather the gas pedal, it will surge, hesitate and die under acceleration. Once up to about 30MPH I can stomp the accelerator and will accelerate well. Does seem to miss and hesitate at normal acceleration when this is happening. Strange thing is, I went to work (a couple times) in the afternoon, it stalled, hesitated and actually died a couple times, barely able to restart. Then in the morning, (working nights) in the cooler temperature it seemed to run almost 100 percent better. Runs much better the cooler less humid it is.
Did this before somewhat, I replaced plugs, and cleaned the spring plate under the air cleaner and that seemed to help.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Paco
