Newbie needs help
Hi to all, I just bought my first MB, and so far I love it. Its a 87 190e 2.6 Auto stock. I have a few problems with it and was wondering if anyone can help me.
1.
My horn was not working when I bought it so I bought a new one changed it and still no sound, I then checked the fuse and the fuse was fine too. When I checked the voltage at the horn my return wire to ground is fine but the positive only gives me about 0.2 V when I press the horn. Anyone have any idea what I can do about it? Can I simply just put a wire from the battery with an inline fuse to the horn?
2.
When driving I have a weird humming noise from the back and the faster I go the louder it is. When I let go the gas pedal its a little quieter and then loud again. What could it be?
3.
My transmission shifts perfect with the exception of a small leak on my governor. However once I reach about 130km/h it does not shift up and its near 3700rpm. Is that normal? I am tempted to go until the red line to see if it will shift but afraid I'll do more damage then good. Any help will be appreciated.
