Drive Shaft Flex Joint play question
I believe I am talking about the front Drive Shaft Flex Joint... The donut that goes from the (automatic) gearbox to the shaft to the rear of the car.
In my 1991, it has about 15º of play when I move the shaft back and forth by hand... Is this OK? Or should it be tight? (no play at all).
The part in Canada is only $85 ± 2 hours of labour (I am guessing at this last), and I would hate to end up stranded one day to save a little money.
On the other hand, it may very well be that it is supposed to be a bit loose (well, have some play that is). Any experienced ideas?
