190E starting problems (fuel) and stalling
Have a 1990 190E 2.6L. For the past week it has decided to act like a bucking bronco at the start. It shakes, rattles, pops, and kicks. Sometimes it will start with no problem, but when it does it will not start smoothly on the very next start. I have to wait about 30 minutes and I might get lucky with a good start. The past 24 hours it is always rough on the start and it will stall after about 1-2 miles of driving. It has been raining, but it will also perform this way when it is dry. About a year ago I bought a MAS fuel relay that I just installed today and it made no difference, still rough. What else should I check? Could there be moisture in the tank?

look into the overload protection relay. its located behind the battery next to the fuel pump relay. its shinny silver and has a fuse on top of it. take it out and shake it. if it sounds like something is loose and rattling inside then its time to replace it and will more then likely cure your cold start problems.
