Unhappy Problem removing waterpump from m102

Hi, this is my first post here, though I have been reading on these forums for years. I have a good bit of experience working on older Mercs (w201's, w124's, w126's, etc). I currently have a 1988 190E 2.3 that needs a new waterpump. I am stuck trying to remove the bracket that connects the waterpump and alternator to the engine. (For those of you with the mechanics manual, its part #156 in the waterpump replacement diagram). I have gotten all the bolts off save one. Its on the bottom left of the bracket and is wedged against the side of the bracket in my case (bolt #51 in the manual). I have only about a 1/2mm between the bolt and the bracket. There isn't enough room for a socket, wrench, etc. I've tried hammering the bracket to give me more room, but it is steel and doesn't bend. I've tried cutting it with a dremmel, same story.

Basically, I'm wondering if anyone else has ever had the same problem and what they did to fix it. It seems like it might be a problem unique to me, as the guide doesn't detail any special tools or methods of removing it. I would appreciate ANY help in the issue, as I need this car for work.

Here are a few.

You can see in the second one where I tried cutting it with the dremmel. Also note that there seems to be no room to turn the thing. My guess is that I'm going to need to take off the alternator as well to get to the pump.

It looks like it is not supposed to move, do you have access to the rear of that bolt? Should be able to remove the nut behind the alternator and then just push out the bolt.

I feel like a massive idiot. Indeed there is a nut behind the Alternator that can just be reached. I finished putting in the water pump and reassembled everything thanks to your advice.
