2.3-16 vs 2.5-16
Hey all,
I am looking for some opinions. I am looking at a couple of 16's. One is a 89 2.5-16 (non-evo) the other is an 87 2.3-16. There is a substantial price difference between the two, with the 2.5 being more.
They are both black, 5spd getrag, and in great condition.
I understand that AMG made a power pack for the 2.5. Are these still available? Is the 87 2.3 chippable?
Please let me know your opinions. I have always wanted one since I have had an 190E 8 valve about 15 years ago.
Thanx!

what country you live in? If your in the US i assume you are talking about the untastefully riced black 2.5-16. Neither cars are "chippable" as they run on K-jet CIS system. EFI conversions are very popular and a great mod. If the price different is that substantial, which im assuming it is, id go with the 2.3 and go EFI with the money.

I am in the US. In Massachusetts as well. You are correct regarding the 2.5. If I went that route it would receive an immediate de-ricing.
What does the EFI conversion offer in terms of gains?
Thanks!
